1. Hot air ballooning in Oregon's wine country, Sherwood, Oregon

Fly through the air in a hot air balloon on one of Vista Balloon Adventures' (www.vistaballoon.com) daybreak tours of Oregon's wine country, complete with a champagne brunch.

4. Bungee jumping at Bridge to Nowhere, Los Angeles, California.

5. Glider tour of Sedona's Red Rocks, Sky King Soaring, Payson, Arizona.

All the excitement of running with the bulls (without the risk of being trampled)!  Newly opened this past June, this wooden coaster holds the world record for steepest drop.

7. Zip Line Tour in Durango, Colorado.

Tighten up your harness and zip through Colorado's famous Aspen forests like Tarzan himself (but replace the vines with state-of-the-art sturdy cables). 8. BASE Jumping on "Bridge Day" off the bridge at New River Gorge, Fayetteville, West Virginia.

The annual largest extreme sports event in the world will be taking place this year on Saturday, September 16th, when 450 BASE jumpers and over 200,000 spectators and will gather on New River Bridge to experience—either vicariously or in-the-flesh—daring dives into the pristine New River Gorge. BASE jumpers take off from the 876-foot (267-meter) bridge, then free-fall before opening a parachute to help them float gently to safety.

9. Climbing Grand Teton, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.
